Sandra Thornton
Sandra Lee Thornton, age 63, Coldwater, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Celina Manor.
She was born July 9, 1952 in Dayton to the late John Francis Beumer and Delena Ann (Sholler). On November 21, 1992 she married Dennis Thornton, and he died in 2006.
She is survived by a son Shawn & Becky Snyder of Celina, a daughter Shelley & Bob Humes of Lima, a daughter in law Terrie Gray in Texas; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Nick, Josh, MaKenna, Madelaine, Jeffrey Jr., Dylan and Scarlet; a brother Frank & Linda Beumer of Augusta, GA and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Gray.
Sandy worked as an office assistant, drove the veterans van for Mercer County, volunteered for Celina Lake Festival Parade for over 10 years, was a Salvation Army bell ringer at Christmas and helped with traffic control for local fire depts. and the sheriff's office.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Friends may call after 4:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
