Randina "Randi" Slemmons, 32, of 1023 Homestead Drive, Coldwater, Ohio, died suddenly at 6:23 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, in the emergency department of Coldwater Community Hospital.

She was born September 14, 1983, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Daniel and Cheryl (Shipley) Macklem. She married Andrew Slemmons on December 8, 2007, and he survives at the residence.

She is also survived by her parents, Dan and Cheryl Macklem of Saint Marys; by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jody and Marilyn Slemmons of Saint Marys; by Andrew's maternal grandmother, Carol Knatz of Saint Marys; by Andrew's paternal grandparents, Billy and Carolyn Slemmons of Saint Marys.

Randi was a 2003 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She attended Wright State University, where she studied Communications. She loved music and was a talented singer. Randi was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy when she was 8 years old. She was very involved in fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and attended youth camps for 5 years, where she encouraged and mentored other youth with MD. She was a great listener and had friends around the world, who will miss her kindness very much.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
