Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Suki Harter
Suki Harter, age 68, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday morning, February 21, 2016 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born January 28, 1948 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Pauline A. (Allen) Jarnagin.
She was a 1966 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School and was retired from General Telephone (GTE) and Liberty Savings Bank.
On March 24, 1978, she married Jerry Harter, who survives.
She is also survived by two children and their spouses: Tad and Tiffany Harter of Milford, Kansas, Nikki and Michael Hammes of Kettering; two step-sons: Brian and Kim Harter of Wapakoneta, and John Harter of Celina; nine beloved grandchildren, Shay (John) Garrison, Memphis (Fernando) Ruelas, Ford and Jett Harter, Teagan, Oliver and Addy Hammes, and Cayla and Delani Harter; one great grandson, Eryx Garrison, with another on the way; her mother-in-law, Rita Harter of St. Marys, one aunt, Lena Allen; sister-in-law Connie (Gary) Rohrbach of St. Marys, brother-in-law Dan Harter of Celina, multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews, and her lifelong best friend, Sandy (Danny Butler) Roser of Hillsboro.
Suki was beloved by all that knew her for her sense of humor and gracious heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special uncle and aunt, Duane and Shirley Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Don Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the funeral home in Lynchburg.
