Strong winds over the weekend resulted in several downed poles and power lines and other incidents.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office reported receiving about a dozen calls regarding wind issues. Local weatherman Dennis Howick said wind speeds reached between 50-55 mph this weekend.
MINSTER - A local woman has been honored by a national equine organization for her work in founding a major publication.
Sharon Barr, 71, Minster, was recently given the Dale Wilkinson Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Reining Horse Association for her work on the NRHA Reiner Magazine.
CELINA - The elements outside were terrible on Saturday afternoon.
