Brandon Shafer, Celina, holds up a 1.5-pound crappie he caught in Grand Lake on May 18 at the Kozy Kampground channel. State officials and anglers report fishing for crappie, bass and catfish is exceptionally good on the lake this year. Shafer said he fishes on Grand Lake often and that crappie fishing has been very good the last few years.
