John Fawcett
John T. Fawcett, age 79, of Celina, Ohio passed away at 7:28 a.m. on Tuesday July 26, 2016 at his residence in Celina.
He was born on April 12, 1937 in Elyria, Ohio to the late John T. & Doris (Jackson) Fawcett. On November 25, 1961 he married Louise Gregory, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving is his son John T. Fawcett of Spartanburg, South Carolina, his daughter and son-in-law Sandra & Ken Schoch of Prescott Valley, Arizona, five grandchildren Dylan Schock, Elysa Fawcett, Jenna Fawcett, Sam Schoch, Karen & Russ Rudy, two great grandchildren Gavin Schoch and Adyson Schoch.
John was preceded in death by his brother James Fawcett.
He was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post #210, the V.F.W. Post #5713, Moose & Eagles Lodges all of Celina. John retired from the Celina Group Insurance Co. in 2002. John was a Pilgrim of the Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed watching football and fishing.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday July 30, 2016 at Grand Lake United Methodist Church, St. Paul's Location in Celina, with Rev. Matt Reynolds and Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday Aug. 1, 2016 in the Deepdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake United Methodist Church.
