Celina firefighters clear smoke from a home during a fire at 3707 state Route 703 Sunday afternoon. Celina Fire Department Chief Doug Wolters said in a news release that a dog died in the fire. One firefighter suffered minor injuries while on scene and was taken to a medical center for treatment, he said. The department responded to a call at 12:28 p.m. and received mutual aid from St. Marys and St. Marys Township fire departments, Wolters said. Homeowners William and Debbie Dale were not in the home at the time. The home suffered heavy damage at the rear and heavy heat and smoke damage to the rest of the structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Wolters said.
