Crash investigated

Kayla C. Hertel, 21, Van Wert, stands by her 2002 Toyota sedan after it collided with a telephone pole and a stop sign about 7:30 p.m. Sunday near State Route 703 and Lake Acres Drive in Celina. According to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office report, Hertel said she fell asleep and her vehicle crossed the center line while she was traveling westbound on State Route 703. Her vehicle reportedly proceeded to travel into the ditch and struck a stop sign and then a utility pole. No injuries or citations were listed on the report.
