Charles Wharton
Charles Edwin Wharton, age 84, of Center Township, passed away March 8, 2018, at The Gardens at Celina.
He was born July 15, 1933 in Mercer County, the son of the late Willis J. & Velma C. (Morrison) Wharton. Charles married Mary Lou Burke on October 17, 1960, and she died September 12, 1989.
His sister, Irene Wharton, also preceded him in death.
He is survived by several cousins.
Charles was a lifelong farmer, and had attended Center Township School. He liked to tinker with old cars, and had owned Model A and Model T Fords. Charles enjoyed attending area antique tractor shows.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 11, at Mendon Cemetery. Pastor Randy Christian will officiate.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Village of Mendon Parks or the Mendon Festival of Trees.
