Norbert Moeder
Norbert J. Moeder, 92, of Dayton, Ohio died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Stone Springs of Vandalia Nursing Home. He was born November 8, 1925 in St. Henry to the late Julius and Anna (Winkeljohn) Moeder. He graduated in 1943 from St. Henry High School and served in the US Army in the Philippines during WWII. On April 18,1953, he married Roberta J. Bensman who preceded him in death April 2, 2014.
He is survived by six daughters, Margaret Petkoff, Ontario; Kathleen Christensen, Florida; Jane (Ron) Higginbotham, Idaho; Mary (Gary) Garman, Theresa (Howard) York, and Jennifer (Mark)Ferguson all of Dayton; two sons Robert (Margo) Moeder of Florida and James Moeder of Dayton; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Siblings: Ruth Krebs, Oxford, Michigan; Richard Moeder, St. Henry; Jerry & Marilyn Moeder, Englewood; Leander & Jeanette Moeder, Maria Stein; RoseAnn & Roger Siefring, Coldwater; In-laws Aloys Larger of Dayton, RoseMary Moeder, St. Henry, Henry Bensman, Dayton, and Bernie Poole, Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law Richard Christensen, sisters and brothers, Marcella Larger, Mary Moeder, Rita and Paul Jones, Victor Moeder, Sr. Mary Julian Moeder, Charles Moeder, and In-laws Fred Krebs and Jerilyn Bensman.
Visitation is at Baker-Hazel and Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at North Main St. from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday July 17, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 22 Notre Dame Ave. Dayton at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
