Marvin Stolz
Marvin "Marv" Stolz, age 72, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on September 9, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
He was born October 13, 1945 in Adams County, Indiana, to the late Chester A. and Madge B. (Buckingham) Stolz. On August 29, 2001 he married Diana (Bruggeman) Stolz, and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include two daughters, Leah Rohrbach, St. Marys, Ohio, and Andrea (Chad) Knapke, Coldwater, Ohio; a son, Michael Thobe, Celina; a stepdaughter, Jessica Woodford, Lima, Ohio; a stepson, Faron Woodford, Celina; a son-in-law, Joe Schlarman, Celina; a sister Katherine (Ned) Meyer, Rockford, Ohio; a brother, Wayne (Evie) Stolz, Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Jamie, Zachary, and Katie Schlarman, Eric, Kelsey, and Amanda Rohrbach, Camille, Karlee, and Avery Knapke; and great grandchildren, Maeleigh, Mellissa, and Harper Rose.
Also preceded in death by a daughter, Mellissa Schlarman; a sister-in-law, Melanie Stolz; and father and mother-in-law, Alex (Doretta) Bruggeman.
Marv was a 1964 graduate of Celina Senior High School in Celina. He worked at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina for many years, Celina American Legion, and he went on to retire from Sidney Electric in Sidney, Ohio. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #5713, American Legion Post #210, and Celina Moose Lodge #1473.
Marv knew no stranger and always greeted you with a friendly smile. He loved watching Celina Bulldogs sports, Cincinnati Reds and Bearcats, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and socializing with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral services to celebrate Marv's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 13, 2018, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina; where the family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm prior to the services at the funeral home. To conclude the services at the funeral home a celebration of life dinner will be served at the Celina V.F.W.
Memorial contributions can be made to C.A.L.L. Food Pantry in Celina and/or American Heart Association.
