Betty Hyatt
Betty June Hyatt, age 90, of Celina, Ohio passed away early Saturday Jan. 19, 2019 at the Gardens at Celina.
She was born on June 5, 1928 in Mendon, Ohio to the late Clayton L. and Gladys M. (Lawrence) Miller. On May 20, 1950 she married Pat Winans, who died in 1990. On January 10, 1998 she married Myron Hyatt, who survives in Celina.
Betty is also survived by her children Kathy (Greg) Correll and Steve (Kim) Winans both of Celina, Step Children Pam (Mike) Hoying of Coldwater, Cindy (Tony) Berelsman of Ft. Jennings, Jim (Denise) Hyatt of St. Henry. Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, eleven Step Great Grandchildren, Brother Dale L. Miller of Celina, her sister Sally Ann (Bill) Brown of Xenia, her brother-in-law Davy Winans of Celina, several Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Demona Jo Winans, brothers and sisters-in-law Paul (Gloria) Miller, Dick Miller, brother-in-law Max Dee Winans and her sisters-in-law Jean Winans, Mary Miller and Margaret Winans.
June graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1946. She retired from Goodyear in St. Marys as a checker. Then worked along side of her husband Pat at St. Marys One Hour Dry Cleaning in St. Marys Until she retired. June was a Life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Celina Post #5713, she was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Since 1969 and Past Worthy Matron of Mendon and currently a member of O.E.S. #91 of Celina. She enjoyed the winters in Florida with Myron, where she learned to play golf at the age of 70. She enjoyed listening to and watching the Cincinnati Reds. She was a big fan of talk radio "WLW", and enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 23, 2019 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mendon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday Jan 22, 2019 and a hour before services at the funeral home.
