James Livingston
James R. Livingston, age 84, of Coldwater passed away at Mercer Health Community Hospital, Coldwater on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
He was born December 15, 1934 in Celina to the late Sylvester & Fannie (Bailey) Livingston. On November 23, 1956, he married Shirley (Bissell) Livingston in Norfolk, Virginia and she precedes him in death.
He is survived by his children and in-laws, Scott & Marlene Livingston of Coldwater, Donald & Denise Livingston of Coldwater, and Michael & Terry Livingston of Hudson, New Hampshire; special friend Donna Gilmore of Coldwater; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Livingston of Coldwater, and sister-in-law Myrna Livingston of Union City, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by sons, Dwayne and David, and siblings and in-laws, Thomas Livingston, George & Doris Livingston and Wanda & Paul Weigel.
Jim was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and Knights of Columbus, the Coldwater American Legion, V.F.W., and Eagles and was a veteran of the United States Navy where he reached the rank of Master Chief. He was retired from the former New Idea plant and from the U.S. Navy after 21 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and 9 to 10 am Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorial contributions can be made to Navy Marine Corp Relief Society or Boys Town USA.
