Lowell Krick
Lowell Edwin Krick, age 72, of Mendon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 14, 2019, at Three Rivers Health in Three Rivers, Michigan, where he was attending an NSRA Car Show.
He was born August 22, 1947, in Celina, to the late Henry Junior & Marcile Irene ( Sherman ) Krick.
Lowell and Martha Rasawuhr were married on March 9, 1968, and she survives, along with their three daughters: Trish ( Mitch ) Marshall of Kenton, and Angie ( Josh ) Sheets and Beth Krick of Mendon, three grandchildren: Sgt. Zachary ( Alexandria ) Crider, USMC of Havelock, NC, and Addison Marshall and Aiden Marshall of Kenton, and a great grandchild on the way.
Brothers: Larry ( Alice ) Krick and Martin Krick, of Celina, also survive, along with brothers & sisters-in-law: Daniel ( Janet ) Rasawuhr of Mendon and Mary ( Jim ) Sutter of Fort Recovery, and numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
Preceding him in death were his granddaughter, Zoe Ilene Michele Crider, sister-in-law, Betty Krick, and nephews: Alyn Krick and Brett Rasawuhr.
A 1966 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, Lowell served with the U.S. Army from 1966-1968, stationed in Baumholder, Germany, earning the rank of SP-4.
Lowell had worked for GTE / Verizon as an Installer-Repairman, retiring after 30+ years of service. He currently worked for the Village of Mendon, and was also Caretaker of the Mendon Cemetery.
He was a member of Mendon First Church of God, serving the church as a Trustee, and played on the church's Dartball team. He was a member of Celina American Legion Post #210.
Lowell belonged to Fort Street Car Classics Club and the National Street Rod Association, where he loved showing and driving his 1940 Buick.
An avid sports fan, Lowell enjoyed following the OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds.
He loved spending time with his family. Lowell never knew a stranger, and could talk to anyone.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 18, at the Mendon First Church of God, with Pastor Jake Boroff, officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling Hours are at the MENDON FIRST CHURCH OF GOD on Tuesday, September 17, from 2-4 & 6-8:00 PM, and from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, prior to the time of services on Wednesday at the church.
  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mendon First Church of God or Fort Street Car Classics.
