Crews construct new homes Wednesday on Brooke Avenue in Celina to replace those destroyed by the EF3 tornado that struck on May 27. More than 40 homes were severely damaged and deemed a total loss after the Memorial Day tornado. The twister left a path of destruction through the northwest portion of the city, along Fairground Road, where one man died, Hellwarth Road and along State Route 197. Six other people were seriously injured, according to Celina Mayor Jeff Hazel.
