The Lake Facilities Authority's West Beach Project, located off Edgewater Drive in Auglaize County, is shown in the top photo. The roughly 8-acre area is enclosed by a rock wall with a small opening to the main body of the lake. Aerators and diffusers that add oxygen to the water were installed inside the area to inhibit algae growth and muck in the lake bottom. Nutrient-rich sediment was removed from the entire area and sand was placed in the beach area.
