Softballs with inspiring messages such as this one were thrown into the yard of Don Ahrens Thursday afternoon. Ahrens, who has been battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia since 2013, must travel alone to James Cancer Center today for a treatment due to the coronavirus pandemic. Kyle Ahrens, his son and the Cavalier softball coach, and his team let the longtime Coldwater bus driver know they were thinking about him.
