Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Lester Gehm
Lester W. Gehm, age 97, of Coldwater, died on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at his home.
He was born August 29, 1922 in Rockford to the late Andrew & Lilly (Beitler) Gehm. On March 31, 1951 he married Blanche (Cencebaugh) Gehm, who survives in Coldwater.
He is also survived by children, Linda K. Gehm of Indianapolis, Tim & Linda R. (Wolfe) Gehm of Coldwater, Lisa Gehm of California and Paul & Donnita (Overholser) Gehm of Coldwater, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Gehm in 1982, a son Bruce Gehm in 2013 and siblings Elmer Gehm, Robert Gehm, Ruth Christian & Noel Gehm.
Lester served in the US Army during WWII. He was a lifelong farmer and worked 19 years at Beckman & Gast in St. Henry. He was a member of The Lord's Abounding Grace Church in Celina, the full gospel men fellowship and the Mercer County Farm Bureau.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at The Lord's Abounding Grace Church in Celina, with Rev. Rick Brosher, officiating. Friends may call after 1 pm at the church on Sunday. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Memorials may be made to Hands Up Ministry at the church.
