U.S. 33 blocked, probe underway

U.S. 33 between State Route 197 and Harris Road was closed to both lanes of traffic at about 7:30 p.m. Friday to allow for a law enforcement investigation into an undisclosed incident. Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey confirmed officials were investigating but would give no further information. Personnel from the Piqua post of the Ohio Sate Highway Patrol, Celina Police Department, Ohio Division of Wildlife, Mercer County EMS and Mercer County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident. The U.S. route was reopened around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
