Beverly Farrenkopf
Beverly A. Bibler (Schaller) Farrenkopf, age 84 of Coldwater, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She was born August 20, 1935 in Van Wert to the late Loren & Treva (VanAtta) Bibler.
She is survived by a daughter, Deb & Mark Gross of Coldwater; grandchildren, Gregory Gross of Chicago, IL, Jeremy & Jenelle Gross of Coldwater and Rachel & Josh Hemmelgarn of Coldwater; great-grandchildren, Rudi, TJ Jenessa, Marshel & Beckett Gross and Monica, Brandon & Lily Hemmelgarn; and a sister-in-law Joan Bibler of Findlay.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Farrenkopf and a brother Keith Bibler.
Bev grew up in Arlington Ohio. Her passion in life was nursing, she graduated from the Lima Memorial School of Practical Nursing. She began her nursing career at Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys, then helped design and build the original Briarwood Manor in Coldwater and served as the first administrator there. She retired from Wilson Hospital in Sidney.
She belonged to the Coldwater United Methodist Church. She was "the Prayer Shawl Lady" of Coldwater UMC where she knitted nearly 400 shawls for those who needed comfort.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 am. Attendees are required to wear a mask, respect the safety of the family, during services, observe social distancing and refrain from close physical contact. Please follow the guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of COVID-19.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Briarwood Activity Fund.
