Dorothy Wendeln
Dorothy Marie Wendeln age 86 of Minster, Ohio died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home in Minster.
She was born December 12, 1934 in St. Marys Ohio to late Charles & Cora (Howell) Chilcoat. She married Joseph R. Wendeln on April 21, 1951 in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St, Marys, Ohio. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2019.
She is survived by children: Carole Fuerst, Minster, Fred J. Wendeln, New Bremen, Tom & Roseann Wendeln, Minster, Barbara & Roger Heckman, Versailles, daughter-in-law Kathleen Lewis, Redlands, CA, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Mary Lou Wendeln, Sidney, Ramona Cook, St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by son David Wendeln, son-in-law Richard Fuerst, daughter-in-law Kelley Wendeln, grandson David Wendeln and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality in St. Joseph Church, Egypt, Ohio, New Bremen Senior Citizens and the Minster Civic Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1 to 5 PM on Sunday, February 21, 2021 and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Monday. Visitors are asked to follow CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
