Bonnie Bensman
Bonnie R. Bensman, 84, of Mendon, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior 12:14 a.m. Wednesday June 23, 2021 at her residence, while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 9, 1936 in Celina, OH to Harry Benjamin and Ida Ruth (Deitsch) Young. On April 7, 1977 in New Bremen, OH she married Ralph W. Bensman, who survives.
Also survived by: son Gary Hook of Bull's Gap, TN; daughter Carol (Eric) Burger of Mendon, OH; daughter Debra (Rob) Stevens of New Bremen, OH; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother John (Bonnie) Young of Rockford, OH; brother Larry (Connie) Young of Sioux City, IA; brother Tim Young of Venedocia, OH; sister Kathy Gibson of Wapakoneta, OH; sister Roberta (Mike) Sutter of Worthington, OH; sister Alberta (Paul) Siegrist of St. Henry, OH; sister -in-law Doris Young of Mendon, OH; sister-in-law Sharon Young of St. Marys, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Harry and Ida Young; brother Ralph Young; brother Harry "Bennie" Young; brother Steve (Martha) Young; brother Daniel (Carolyn) Young; sister Sharon (Danny) King; sister Dorothea "Jean" (Ernest) England; sister-in-law Linda Young.
Bonnie worked as a STNA for the Celina Manor Nursing Home. Her favorite pastimes included Playing BINGO, working on her computer and staying up late at night. Bonnie dearly loved her family, especially her husband, her children and all of her grandchildren. In addition, acted as a foster parent for many children throughout the years.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday June 26, 2021 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Jason Boroff will officiate the services.
Visitation 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to with Everheart Hospice Program or Cancer Association of Mercer Co.
