Todd Oberlitner
Todd Eric Oberlitner, age 61, of Mendon, went to see his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday morning, June 22, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born May 2, 1960, in Celina, to Gene & Jane (Harner) Oberlitner. His mother survives, and his father preceded him in death January 17, 2019.
Todd and Nancy Cleland Oberlitner were married on March 20, 1999. She survives, along with three children: Nicole (Wilbur) Welling of Celina, and Rachel (Chris) Neely and Ralph (Carla) Oberlitner of Mendon; his brother & sister: Chris (Diane) Oberlitner of Shelby Township, Michigan and Lori Oberlitner of Oxford, Ohio; and five grandchildren: Gabriel, Eric & Leah Welling, Laci Neely, and Paisley Oberlitner.
He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Kim Oberlitner.
Todd was a 1978 graduate of Parkway High School. For 45 years, he was employed as a Maintenance Technician for diesel trucks at Grammer Logistics (formerly Schroyer Trucking). Todd was a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God, Celina, where he had served as a Deacon for 35 years, Children's Sunday School Teacher for 20 years, helped with Bible School, was a Vacation Bible School Leader for 15 years, and also a Dartball Coach for 15 years. Faith was very important to Todd. You could count on one hand how many times he missed going to church. Todd enjoyed farming, snowmobiling, hunting, 4-wheeling, NASCAR, watching any kind of sports, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and working on classic cars. He was an avid reader, and loved history. Todd was exceptionally bright and knowledgeable about absolutely everything. He knew no stranger, and could carry-on a conversation with everyone. Todd had no enemies. His absolute favorite thing was spending time with his grandkids whatever they were doing.
Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 26, at Mt. Tabor Church of God, 9744 U.S. 127 N, Celina, with Pastor Darwin Dunten, officiating. Burial followed at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
