Lucy McMurray
Hilda Lucille "Lucy" McMurray, age 59, a former area resident, passed away on July 21, 2021, in Buford, Georgia, where she had resided the past several years. Born November 21, 1961, in Celina, Lucy was a daughter of the late Robert Harold and Margory Pauline (Wycuff) Draper.
Lucy leaves behind two sons: Ben McMurray and Jeremy McMurray, five grandchildren, and brothers: Jake Draper, John Draper, Mike Wycuff and Joe Wycuff.
Preceding her in death was her only daughter, Stephanie McMurray, and a sister, Vonnie.
Lucy had attended Celina High School, and was a Homemaker. As pastimes, she enjoyed decorating her home and making floral arrangements. Lucy was a very devoted Mother and Grandmother.
Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Wednesday, July 28, from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM, with the Funeral Service to follow, beginning at 2:00, at the Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. In Lucy's memory, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, for cancer research.
