Pauline Drees
Pauline C. Schemmel Drees age 85 of Osgood, Ohio died Monday, September 6, 2021 at Versailles Health Care Center.
She was born July 25, 1936 in Cassella, Ohio to the late Raymond & Olive (Bensman) Feltz. She married Louis Schemmel on August 24, 1957 and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1994. She then married Urban Drees on February 6, 1998 and he survives in Versailles.
She is also survived by children: Jeff Schemmel, Fort Loramie, Janice & David Clune, Ocala, FL, John & Rita Schemmel, Maria Stein, grandchildren: Ashley & Matt Gehret, Ryan & Angie Schemmel, Dustin & Jenny Schemmel, Courtney Schemmel, Cassandra Schemmel, John Cameron Schemmel, Caleb & Carissa Schemmel, Caitlynn Schemmel, 8 great grandchildren, stepchildren: Dan & Sue Drees, Brian & Kelly Drees, Kevin & Lisa Drees, 6 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, brothers: John & Cindy Feltz, Fairborn, twin brother Paul & Mary Ann Feltz, Waynesville, Jerry Feltz, Erie, PA, Raymond & Rita Feltz, Celina, Ronald & Mary Feltz, North Canton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Brenda Schemmel, stepchildren: Ed Drees & Debbie Drees, brothers & sisters: Eileen & Pete Slivinski, Mary Ann & Dick Gray, Kathleen & Jerome Schmitmeyer, sister-in-law Patricia Feltz.
Pauline was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood and a member of St. Barbara Ladies Sodality. She was a long time CCD teacher and Director of Religious Education at St. Nicholas Church. She was a member of the Osgood American Legion Auxiliary and a 4-H Advisor. She was an amazing seamstress and worked at Emmy's Bridal Shop. She was a farmer's wife and loved to can fruits and vegetables and golfing with Urban.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood. Burial will follow at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2021 and from 9 to 10 AM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Osgood Rescue Squad.
