Fredric May
Fredric A. May, age 83 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at The Gardens at Celina.
He was born on November 3, 1937 to the late Robert and Gladys (Reed) May in Celina. He was lovingly raised by his Aunt and Uncle LeAnna and Russell Howick of Celina, Oh.
He is survived by his two daughters Tammy (Kenneth) Dennis of Celina, Tina (Danny) Skeens of Comanche, Ok, three grandchildren; Meghan (Daniel) Rodriquez, Kyla Skeens, Carolynn (Jarrett) Burton; eleven great grandchildren; Samuel, Carter, Jameson, Olivia, Emma, Arlo, Quentin, Nevaeh, Hazen, Bentley and Avery. His two brothers, James Reed of Celina, Nick (Nancy) Reed of Lake Placid, Fl, and his two sisters Suzie Reed and Janet (Joe) Miller both of Celina, special friend Pamela Limon of Celina and many more nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his one and only grandson, Kevin Allen Dennis, who he loved very much.
Fredric graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1955. He served his country proudly and with distinction from 1963-1983. Serving during Vietnam and retiring from the US Army, after serving 3 years at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. as a Master Sergeant. After retirement he continued his working career at the Otterbein Home in Lebanon. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #210, the V.F.W. post #5713, and the AM Vets all of Celina. Fred was an honorable and loved man by all who knew him. His humor could brighten any one's day. "Old Sarge" was a nickname given to him by his friends. He will truly be missed by his children, his family, his friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the St. Marys American Legion Post #323, 2880 Celina Rd. St. Marys, Ohio 45885. The Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements for Fredric.
