Ex-coach indicted on sex charges

WAPAKONETA - Former New Knoxville High School basketball head coach Cole Fischbach has been indicted on charges of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, sexual imposition and tampering with evidence.
Fischbach, 26, was indicted earlier this month for tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; four counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, fifth-degree felonies; and two counts of sexual imposition, third-degree misdemeanors.
The New Knoxville Board of Education accepted Fischbach's resignation as coach of the high school boys basketball team in July, after only one season as coach.
Fischbach reportedly re-signed for personal reasons, with no further information given by the board. Superintendent Kim Waterman could not be reached today for comment by press time.
Fischbach has been release don a recognizance bond.
He is next scheduled to appear for a pretrial hearing in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court at 10 a.m. Sept. 27.
