Ann E. Berning age 91 of Minster, Ohio died at 7:30 PM on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Heritage Manor, Minster, Ohio

She was born on October 10, 1930 in Fort Recovery, Ohio to the late Thomas & Dora (Rammel) Hart. On September 16, 1950 She married Joseph A. Berning, and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2002.

She is survived by sons: Dr. James & Joyce Berning, Brooklyn, MI, Dennis & Marilyn Berning, New Bremen, Gregor & Susan Berning, Columbus, grandchildren: Jason & Julia Berning, Jamie Bernell, Jeremy & Megan Berning, Sara Berning & Brooke Berning, great grandchildren: Jonathan, Joel, Leah, Theodore, Mabel, brother: Leo & Dorothy Hart, Ft. Recovery, in-law Jean Hart, St. Henry, John Gardner, Dayton, Urban Berning, Maria Stein.

She was preceded in death by siblings: Linus & Emma Hart, George & Anna Marie Hart, Mary & Clarence Quinter, Margaret "Peg" & Andy Hemmelgarn, John Hart, Al & Donna Hart, in-laws: Robert & Dorothy Berning, Cletus & Mildred Berning, Lucille Berning, Velma & Andy Hemmelgarn, Theresa & John Baltes. Irene Gardner, Joann & Gene Werling.

She was a member of St. Augustine Church and the Ladies Sodality. She was a graduate of Ft. Recovery High School and worked at Minster High School for 44 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1 to 5 PM on Sunday and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Monday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the St. Augustine Church.
