Gloria VanTilburg
Gloria Irene VanTilburg, age 93, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 and reunited with her life partner Meredith.
Born in Celina, OH on June 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Jessie (Kruch) Brewer.
Gloria met her life partner and soul mate Meredith VanTilburg in high school, and they were married on July 2, 1949. She later moved to Chicago, IL and raised her 5 children, Michael, James, Thomas, John, Kathy.
She was employed with Avondale and Darwin School for many years after the youngest child was in school full time. She eventually retired with Meredith to their home in Kenosha, WI. Gloria devoted her whole life to her family, camping during the summers and staying a great deal with family in Celina, OH during her summers off work.
The world has lost a beautiful person and Heaven has gained a remarkable soul. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, Michael, James, Thomas and Kathy; her grandchildren, Samantha, Kyle, Katie, Michael, Richard, Adam, Corey and John, Jr; her great grandchildren, Catalina, Kayle, Ellen, Luca and Enzo.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Brewer, II, and her son, John VanTilburg.
A visitation honoring Gloria's life will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home. Concluding with Gloria's son, Tom, sharing family sentiments. Private Interment will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina, OH.
