Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning. If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.
ST. MARYS - An estimated 50 firefighters from multiple departments on Friday afternoon fought to extinguish a blaze that left a home destroyed and a family displaced.
Firefighters at about 2:30 p.m. responded to a house fire at 128 Lakewood Court in St. Marys. At least two people were home when the fire started. They managed to escape, reportedly unharmed, according to firefighters at the scene. [More]
