Family escapes unharmed, dog perishes in blaze

ST. MARYS - An estimated 50 firefighters from multiple departments on Friday afternoon fought to extinguish a blaze that left a home destroyed and a family displaced.
Firefighters at about 2:30 p.m. responded to a house fire at 128 Lakewood Court in St. Marys. At least two people were home when the fire started. They managed to escape, reportedly unharmed, according to firefighters at the scene. [More]

New Bremen led for 28:39 in regulation before the Tigers tied it at 49 with 21.8 seconds left, kicking off a wild back-and-forth that spanned two overtimes and went down to the final shot before the Cardinals came away with a 61-58 boys basketball win at the Nest on Friday. [More]
