Virginia Strable
Virginia A. Strable, age 89 of Celina, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was born on November 30, 1932 in Celina to the late Edward and Florence (Nungester) Eichenauer. On June 3, 1951 she married Lisle G. Strable and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1995.
Virginia is survived by her children, Cheryl Bailey, Portland, Indiana, Kim (Cindy) Strable, Greensboro North Carolina, Scott (Connie) Strable, Seymour, Tennessee, Darl (Brenda) Strable, Celina, Dawn (Dan) Hellwarth, Greensboro, North Carolina and Jill (Denny) Foster, Sevierville, Tennessee; a sister, Imogene Homan, Angola, Indiana; 24 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Irwin P. Bailey; a brother, Nelson Eichenauer; and three sisters, Vivian Laffin, Marjorie B. Ellis and Joann Kimmel.
Virginia graduated from Celina High School in 1951 and enjoyed being a homemaker raising her six children. For several years, she taught first grade at Celina Christian Liberty Academy. Virginia was also an avid supporter of the Celina Bulldogs. She enjoyed sharing her faith by singing with other family members in a Christian gospel group call the Miracles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina; where the family will receive friends from 9:00 am - 11:00 am before the service. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
