Louise Barga
Louise I. Barga, 86, of St. Marys, died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday February 26, 2022, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. 
She was born on May 30, 1935 in New Bremen to John and Clara (Wiehe) Topp. On July 8, 1953, she married Wilbur Barga Jr. who preceded her in death on August 12, 1993.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Dan) Uhlenhake, grandchildren Adam (Annie) Uhlenhake of  Springboro, and Brooke (Nick) Taylor of St. Marys. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Alexa and Claire  Taylor, and Sam, Sophie and Sloane Uhlenhake. 
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Clara Topp, sisters Irma (Sherman) Shroyer, Miney Harold) Shroyer, Erline (Charlie) Garman, brothers Louis (Annie) Topp, Carl (Connie) Topp and Fred (Hilda) Topp, and great grandson Noah Lee Uhlenhake. 
Louise was a 1952 graduate of New Bremen High School. She worked for a number of years at the original Kroger store in St. Marys as a cashier, then as a teller for Bank One. She then spent the remainder of her working career as a nurse's aide at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital for 22 years. 
She was a long time member of Holy Rosary Catholic church and the Ladies Altar Society in St. Marys. Her favorite pastime was working crossword puzzles and playing a variety of card games, especially euchre. While she was always competitive at cards, she also was compassionate and loving and was revered by her family as a most wonderful mother and grandmother. She possessed a quick wit and loved a good laugh. Louise especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was unfailing in her support of  their academic, musical or sports activities. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church St. Marys, with the Rev. Alexander Witt officiating on Tuesday, March 1 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys.
Visitation will take place from 9:30 to 10:45 at the church. 
Condolences may be expressed to the family via millerfuneralhomes.net. Memorial contributions are to  be made to Holy Rosary School.
