Application needs state approval

CELINA - City council voted to approve legislation establishing a designated outdoor refreshment area in Celina that would permit people to drink alcohol in DORA-designated cups outside within set boundaries from noon to 11 p.m. every day.
A city DORA application will now advance to the state for review, a process that could take anywhere from a few months to a year, according to city safety service director Tom Hitchcock. [More]
Celina defeats Fort Recovery in Dorner's first game as Bulldogs coach

CELINA - The first game of John Dorner's tenure as Celina baseball coach ended up like 544 of the 797 games he coached while at St. Henry - with his team putting a mark on the good side of the ledger.
Quinn Andrew pitched five innings of no-hit baseball and the Bulldogs took advantage of the limited hits allowed by Fort Recovery in picking up a 3-0 victory in the season lidlifter for both teams at a chilly Montgomery Field in Celina on Monday. [More]
