Michael Wolfe
Michael "Mike" W. Wolfe, age 47, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on April 15, 2022 at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born February 6, 1975 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. On October 29, 1994 he married Chasity (Coldiron) Wolfe and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include his children, Damon Wolfe, Celina and Caitlin (Braden) Brecht, Fort Benning, Georgia; mother and stepfather, Sandy (Bob) Reier, St. Marys; a brother, George (Holly) Wolfe, Indiana; two sisters, Kim (Thad) Gross, St. Johns, Ohio and Carrie (Nathan) Donaldson, St. Marys; and a grandson, Brentley Brecht.
He is also preceded in death by his father, George Wolfe.
Mike was a 1993 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He worked as a safety technician for Crown Equipment in Celina. He also owned and operated Exile Barbell Gym in Celina. He was member of the St. Marys Roughrider's Cowbell Mafia and he was President of the Ohio Chapter of Metal Militia Powerlifting.
Mike enjoyed teaching and talking power lifting, this passion extended into coaching high school powerlifting and football for the St. Marys Roughriders. In addition, he also coached the Special Olympics Powerlifting Team "Iron Will" in Mercer County. His enthusiasm for powerlifting was contagious and his effect has been passed onto all his previous athletes. He also spent time traveling and being outdoors. His family and friends meant the world to him and he and will be deeply missed by all, but his legacy will live on.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at CrossFit Crave, 715 S. Sugar St., Celina, April 23, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
Following the gathering at 3:00 pm a memorial service will be held.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Mercer County Special Olympics in memory of Mike Wolfe.
