FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - A Celina man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash that was discovered several hours after it occurred Sunday morning, according to a news release from Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey.
Louis B. Badgett Jr., 57, Celina, was driving his 2002 Chevrolet eastbound on County Road 219A just east of Dicke Road early Sunday morning, according to the release. [More]

ST. HENRY - Officer Pat Elking's lengthy career in law enforcement came to an end late last month as he retired from the St. Henry Police Department.

Celina earns two Saturday victories
CELINA - It wasn't exactly a "40 days and 40 nights" scenario, but after a week of rainouts, the sun came out on Saturday and baseball was played.
And Celina, having not played since the previous Saturday, was ready.
After a year in the Western Buckeye League cellar and a decade with a single league title, the Celina baseball team was ready for a new approach.
As it happened, former St. Henry coach and Hall of Famer John Dorner was ready for a new challenge as well.
