Thurman Whitted Jr.
Thurman Whitted Jr. "JR" 67, of Rockford, OH, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. He lost his battle with lung cancer and passed away peacefully with his daughter Wendy by his side.
He was born on June 25, 1954, in Knoxville, TN to his late parents, Thurman Whitted Sr. and Betty Lou Whitted.
Thurman was a retired mechanic and race car driver. He owned Performance Specialty for 23 years. He raced early and late model race cars. His car was #6 "Outta Control." He loved his Harley Davidson, named "Black Beauty."
He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Michelle Whitted from Proctorville, OH; brother John (Pat) Whitted from Mt. Vernon, OH; and a special loved one, Darlene.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vera Lynn Whitted and daughter Ashlee Joy Whitted.
