Doug Ellis, age 64 of Celina, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his residence in Celina.

He was born on August 30, 1957 to the late Marvin Chuck and Betty (Thomas) Ellis who survives in Delphos. On July 25, 1987, he married LouAnna Krick who survives in Celina.

He is also survived by his children John (Christina) Ellis Jr. of Bluffton, IN, Shonda Ellis of Decatur, IN, Jodi (Josh) Magee of Celina, Jason (Melissa) Boeckman of Delphos, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Vicki Goff of Celina, Becky (Scott) Miller of Delphos, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom (Candy) Krick of Celina, Luwanna (Dan) Klosterman of Bradenton, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law Dennis Goff.

Doug began his truck driving career at the early age of 14 with Dick Powell Trucking, Brookside Trucking and John Harrod & Son Trucking. Doug finally became an owner operator of Ellis Transportation LLC.   

His passion in life was truck driving but he did enjoy yardwork, working on his house, picking on his grandkids and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Celina VFW Post #5713, Celina Eagles Post #1291, and the Celina Moose Lodge.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Celina VFW Post #5713.
