Jill Tobin
Jill L. Tobin, age 61, of Fort Recovery, died August 24, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita's, Lima, OH.
She was born June 22, 1961, in Portland, IN, to Paul "Curly" Pearson and Charlene (Schafer) Pearson. Her father, Paul "Curly" preceded her in death and her mother, Charlene survives in Fort Recovery. On December 22, 1982, she married Mark Tobin, who survives in Fort Recovery.
Jill is also survived by her children, Jarret (Lisa) Tobin of Fort Recovery, Jacqueline (Donald) Bird of Fort Recovery, LeAnne (Troy) Metzger of Fort Recovery, Eric (Tammy) Tobin of Tuscaloosa, AL, David (Tabitha) Tobin of Fort Recovery, and Kraig (Jennifer) Tobin of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Kody, Macy, Isabel, Xavier, Boston, Michael, Rayna, Camden, Ryker, Harper, and Zoey; siblings, Dottie Pearson of Fort Recovery, Tim (Leisa) Pearson of Celina, Cindy (Bob) Roessner of Fort Recovery, and Scott (Amy) Pearson of Fort Recovery; in-laws, Carole (Al) Bilger of White Pigeon, MI, Ken (Dots) Tobin of Coldwater, and Dan Tobin of Coldwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Claire Tobin.
Jill was a 1979 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and was employed by the US Department of Agriculture as a poultry grader for 31 years. She was an avid collector of chicken figurines and loved spending time with her grandkids. Jill also loved golf cart and Ranger rides, attending various sporting events, always enjoyed a campfire, and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, OH, with Fr. Mike Kapolka officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Jill's family on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00 until 9:45 AM, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
