Special Weather Statement issued January 14 at 2:54PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.
Special Weather Statement issued January 14 at 11:27AM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Cheryl Braun
Cheryl A. Braun - dedicated wife, beloved mother of three, dearly loved grandmother ("Mimi") of seven, and friend of many - passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022 at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born on October 1, 1948 in Celina, Ohio to the late Henry and Hilda (Schwieterman) Stucke of Cranberry Prairie.
Cheryl is survived by her husband William Braun who resides in Anna, Ohio; her children Julie (Paul) McCauley, Nichole (Dawn Horrocks) Mustard, and Luke (Katie Tobe) Braun; grandchildren Madison and Maxwell McCauley, Mason, Sawyer, Anne, and Margaret Horrocks-Mustard, and Tate Braun; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert, Gerald, Thomas, and Ronald along with her loving sister Ester (Eiting).
Family was extremely important to Cheryl. She absolutely loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as she watched them grow and develop their distinct personalities. Cheryl was proud to have been raised in the country and delighted in driving around Mercer Co. to see how the crops were doing at Stucke Farms. Cheryl enjoyed gardening, bird watching, traveling, quilting, and bike riding. She especially enjoyed researching genealogy and sharing the stories and pictures with her family and friends. Cheryl believed any day with ice cream was a good day. She was a kind friend with a warm heart. Her life long friend, Sharon (Rose) King, was like family and so very important to her.
A celebration of life is in the works for the spring when the flowers are in full bloom and the farmers are in the fields. Family and friends will be invited to come and share fond memories and stories. The family further requests that you enjoy a "Cheryl pour" of red wine in her honor. Cheryl will be dearly missed by the many lives she touched.
Condolences may be expressed and memories shared with Cheryl's family via: www.millerfuneralhomes.net.
