Ruth Luthman
Ruth A. Luthman, 97, of St. Marys, died 11:50 A.M. Friday, October 28, 2022, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 18, 1925, in Cassella, Ohio, the daughter of William and Anna (Bertke) Harting. She married Lawrence Luthman on July 26, 1947; he preceded her in death on September 15, 2008.
She is survived by her children: Betty (Robert) Zircher of Minster; John (Michelle) Luthman of Pendleton, Indiana; Jane (Nicholas) Fleck of Celina; Ron (Sue) Luthman of St. Marys; Dave Luthman of St. Marys; Tom (Michelle) Luthman of Coldwater. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and by one brother, Maurice Harting of Coldwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; by two sons: Eddie and Jerry Luthman; by her siblings: Eugene Harting, Roman Harting, Rich Harting, Paul Harting, Carl Harting, Walter Harting, Sally Harting, Virginia Harting.
Ruth attended school in Cassella and was a very dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She gave all her energy to her family and Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she had been involved with the Altar Sodality and the annual garage sale.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 4, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Father Prashanth Bandanadham, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Friends of Holy Rosary School.
