Pauline Schoen-Hess
Pauline (Muhlenkamp) Schoen-Hess, age 93, of Coldwater, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Mercer County Community Hospital.
She was born December 7, 1928, in Trinity, Indiana to the late Herbert & Asella (Miller) Muhlenkamp.
On July 31, 1948, she married Linus Schoen and he died October 6, 1971, she then married Paul Hess on January 14, 1977 and he died May 18, 1998.
She is survived by children and in laws, James (Linda) Schoen of Celina, Sandy (Dale) Schmitmeyer of Minster, Gary (Deb) Schoen of Wapakoneta, Cheri Crouch and Marcia (Paul) Homan all of Coldwater; stepdaughters, Jean (Charles) Siefring of Sharpsburg and Paula (David) Williams of Centerville; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson, siblings and in law, Jerry (Eileen) Muhlenkamp and Dorothy Hoyng.
She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Tim Crouch; grandson Bryan Siefring; siblings and in-laws, Bernard (Kathleen) Muhlenkamp, Lavern (Pat) Muhlenkamp, Robert (Josephine) Muhlenkamp, Mary Ann (Alvin) Saintignon and Louis Hoyng.
Pauline graduated from I.C. High School in Celina, she worked at the former Gibbons Hospital in Celina, the former Mersmans in Celina and Briarwood Manor in Coldwater. She was a former member of the Coldwater EMS, Eagles Auxiliary, Hospital Auxiliary and Coldwater Bowling Association. She was also a former owner of Betties Restaurant in Coldwater. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday November 25, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday and 9 to 10 am Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
