* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Donald Schmitmeyer
Donald H. Schmitmeyer age 88 of Minster, Ohio passed peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen.
He was born March 17, 1934 in Minster, Ohio to the late Leander & Elsie (Enneking) Schmitmeyer. He married Marilyn Menker on June 1, 1957 at Holy Rosary Church, St. Marys, Ohio. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2021.
He is survived by children: Mark & Vicki Schmitmeyer, Dallas Texas, Doug & Karen Schmitmeyer, Minster, Bruce Schmitmeyer, Minster, Jill & Michael Albers, Minster, 7 grandchildren, Brian & Cassandra Schmitmeyer, Jennifer Schmitmeyer, Stephanie & Dale Bruns, Jessica & Nicholas Kobunski, Andrew & Morgan Albers, Jonathan Albers, Alex Schmitmeyer, 2 step grandchildren, Sara & Josh Carson and Sam Schroeder, 8 great grandchildren, Morgan, Anna, & Evan Schmitmeyer, Tate & Owen Bruns, Lillian & Noah Kobunski, and Nora Albers, step great grandchildren: James Carson & Grayson Schroeder, sister: Martha Thobe, Chickasaw, in-laws: Mary Ann Schmitmeyer, Fort Loramie, brother-in-law Eugene Menker, Allen Texas.
He was preceded in death by grandson Matthew Schmitmeyer, brothers & sisters: twin sister Dorothy Schmitmeyer CPPS, Roger Schmitmeyer, Jerry & Kathy Schmitmeyer, in-laws: Urban Schlater, Cyril Thobe Virginia & Les Schneider, Alfrieda & Donald Backs, Lavern & Jane Menker, Norman & Rosie Menker, Nan Menker.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and the Men's choir for over 60 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the Minster American Legion, VFW, Eagles #1391, Knights of Columbus, Lake Loramie Improvement Association and the Minster Marathon Town Council. He was past president of the Minster High School Board of Education and Athletic Boosters and was Booster of the Year. He was retired from Moorman's Feed as a Regional Sales Manager. Don enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing and especially watching his children & grandchildren at school and sporting activities.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, December 2, 2022.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
