Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Mescher, age 72 of Versailles, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Hospice of Miami County, Troy, Ohio.

Born in Celina, Ohio on March 3, 1950 she was a daughter to the late Nicholas & Norma (Berning) Bergman.

Betty was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown, Ohio as well as the Versailles American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Versailles Garden Club. She loved gardening and flowers. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family; siblings and her children, as well as attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She will truly be missed.

Survived by her husband Joseph Mescher, whom she married March 3, 2013: children Mike Shardo; Angela (Shardo) & Jeff Nunn; Jacqueline Shardo; Dan & Rebecca Shardo: grandchildren Kyle Nunn; Ryan Nunn; Alexandra Kingery; Delaney Kingery; Samantha Shardo; Nathan Shardo; Cameron Shardo: siblings Diane & Joe Pohlman; Mary Moeller and special friend Mike; Tom & Mary Bergman; Linda & Melvin Behr; Jeanne & Tom Boerger; Nick Bergman, Jr.; Ron & Jeannie Bergman; John & Janet Bergman; Elaine & Steve Luthman: step-children Julie & Chris Homan; Brian & Emily Mescher; Timothy & Nancy Mescher; Scott Mescher: as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Friends may call on the family on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church with Fr. Matt Feist presiding.

An hour visitation prior to mass at the funeral home. Burial to follow at St. Valbert Catholic Cemetery.
