* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Western Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio... North Central Shelby County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 1245 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1003 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Minster, St. Henry, Rockford, New Knoxville, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, Maria Stein, State Route 116 at State Route 197 and Chattanooga.

Emma Shaffer
Emma Lou Shaffer, 91, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Divine Nursing and Rehab at Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born November 30, 1931 in Mercer County to the late Carl and Irene (Roebuck) Severns. She married Danny Shaffer and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors include her children, Susie (Don) Miller, Rockford and Gary (Sherry) Shaffer, Rockford; three grandchildren, Darby (Cheryl) Miller, Ohio City, Jason (Lori) Shaffer, Ft. Recovery and Jenny Shaffer, Fort Wayne; and six great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Bea) Severns.
Emma was a 1949 graduate of Rockford High School. She retired after working for, Winkler IGA in Rockford, Landmark General Store in Celina and Tuway in Rockford. She attended Olive Branch Church in Rockford. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid sports fan of the Parkway Panthers. She will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm before the service at the funeral home. Emma was not a dress up girl, so put on your favorite pair of jeans and come celebrate her life with us. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
