  It's easy to refer to Hughes as the Chairwoman of the Boards the way she dominated the glass during her career. Hughes holds the school records for most rebounds in a game, season and career, going over the 1,000-rebound mark during this past season. She worked on her game over the offseason and became a more dominating performer in solidifying a 1-2 scoring punch with teammate Gabrielle Stober.

  "What more can you ask for than her battling down in the paint?" Stober said. "Phenomenal rebounder, I've never seen anything like it."

  Hughes increased her field goal percentage to 55.1% after shooting under 45% last season.
