Mary Sanders
Mary Madonna Sanders, age 81 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born on July 15, 1941 in Celina to the late Ralph and Betty (Runkel) Fleck. On September 5, 1964, she married E. Jay Sanders, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2001.
She is survived by her son Keith Sanders (Keysha Chilcoat) of Celina, grandchildren Kasi (Zac) Rickard of Tazewell, TN, Spencer Chilcoat, Sinclair Chilcoat both of Celina, great grandchildren Gabriel, Khloe, Zavier, Everett, Hudson, Jhettlee, Gavin, Benjamin, brother Ralph (Susan) Fleck Jr. of Carlton, GA, sisters Linda Williams of Celina, Judith McIntosh of Fairfield, Marcella (Wayne) Fickert of Rockford, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandchild Afton Sanders.
Mary was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church, volunteered with the Red Cross and was a den mother for the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed cross stitch, playing bingo, Yahtzee and cards. She greatly adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. Burial will follow in Wabash Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M - 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake United Methodist Church 119 E. Fulton St. Celina, or the Mercer County Cancer Center Association 218 S. Main St. Celina.
