Linda Harruff
Linda C. Harruff, 72, of St. Marys, OH died 11:45 a.m. Sunday May 14, 2023 at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys with her family at her side.
She was born April 27, 1951 in Jackson, MI to Henry and Barbara (Stone) Swanson.
She is survived by: daughter Nikki Moyar of St. Marys, OH; son Chief Petty Officer Joshua Harruff (United States Navy) currently stationed in Manama, Bahrain; 3 grandchildren: Gracie, Alyveah and Landon Moyar; sister Donna (Frank) Thomas of St. Marys, OH; sister Judy (Bob) Zink of St. Marys, OH; brother Henry (Jennifer) Swanson of St. Marys, OH; brother Robert Swanson of St. Marys, OH; former husband Ed Harruff of St. Marys, OH; "bonus brother" Richard Smith of Michigan.
Preceded in death by: parents Henry and Barbara Swanson; sister Julia (Edward) Woods.
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1969) and Wright State University. Linda retired from the Auglaize Co. Juvenile Court, having served as an administrative assistant for Judge Mark Spees. She then worked as an activities coordinator at Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys. She was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie #767 and VFW Post # 9289 auxiliaries. Her favorite pastimes included watching movies, reading books, caring for animals and working in the yard at her home. More than anything else, she treasured the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren, family and close friends.
Rites are scheduled to begin 12:00 noon Saturday May 20, 2023 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Robert Sweeney will officiate the services.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Grand Lake Hospice.
