Virginia Rolfes
Virginia "Ginny" Anna Rolfes, age 95 of Celina, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at her residence in Celina.
She was born on December 23, 1927 to the late Charles and Laura (Bollenbacher) Alt in Chattanooga. On October 2, 1948, she married Eugene J. Rolfes who passed away on August 15, 2000.
She is survived by her children Barry (Sue) Rolfes of Celina, Gary (Dianne) Rolfes of Celina, Terry (Shelly) Rolfes of Celina, Randy (Paula) Rolfes of Celina, Kim (Bruce) Swonger of Celina, Tammy (Ron) Richards of Celina, 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Dewey (Agey) Alt, Jack (Sally) Alt, Arthur Alt, Robert "Pete" (Evelyn) Alt, sisters Wilma (Gail) Butcher, Esther (Phil) Hone and Alice (Vernon) Shinn.
Virginia was the owner and bookkeeper for Celina Glass. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Daughter of Isabella, and American Legion Post #210. She loved gardening.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, and 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions out to the Grand Lake Hospice 1122 E. Spring St, St. Marys, OH 45885.
