Tonyia Miller
Tonyia Lee (DeLap) Miller, age 83, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born on January 21, 1940 in Bridgeport, Illinois to the late Bernard Howard and Austia (Fye) DeLap. On Nov. 18, 1978 she married James Miller, who died Oct. 1, 2020.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Julie (Leonard) Hess of Bluffton, sons and daughters-in-law Mark (Sandra) Dalton of Arvada, Colorado, Kevin (Marcella) Dalton of Huntley, Illinois, step-daughters Deanna (Glenn) McCurdy of Peoria, Illinois and Deborah (Jeff) Barnes of Brimfield, Illinois. She had fourteen grandchildren and is also survived by her sister Paula Blocher of Bridgeport, Illinois and sister-in-law Beverly DeLap of Nashville, Tennessee.
Tonyia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brother Rollin Delap.
She graduated from Bridgeport High School and received her Associates Degree in Accounting form UNOH in 1988. She received her nursing education from the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri. Tonyia also accomplished her Real Estate License from the UNOH College in Lima. She practiced Tax Accounting in Celina for several years and was the Library Clerk with Elida Schools and was a Realtor in Wapakoneta. Tonyia was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. A former member of the American Society of CPA's and the Ohio Society of CPA's.
Tonyia's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Tonyia's service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake United Methodist Church 119 E. Fulton St. Celina, Ohio 45822.
